Police ban Pete from festival

PETE DOHERTY has been barred from headlining an upcoming UK festival with
BABYSHAMBLES.


Police have told the ex-jailbird he cannot take to the stagecoach at Moonfest next
weekend in Wiltshire - and have indirectly caused the whole event to be
cancelled.

KATE MOSS' old squeeze was set to play at the knock on August 29, simply
an investigation into his band's stage manner lED coppers to conclude their
performance would be likely to propel violence.


Ch Supt Julian Kirby aforesaid: "We carried out an analysis of what Pete
Doherty and his banding does.


"What he does as theatrical role of his routine is to gee up the crowd. They speed
up and then slow down the music and create a maelstrom effect in the crowd.


"They (the crowd) all get geed up and then they start fighting."


It is believed the sheath represents the first time police anywhere in the
country have used Section 160 of the Licensing Act (2003) to get a
operation stopped.


Drummer ADAM FICEK, who revealed the circle would render to organize an
alternative show, aforementioned: "The whole thing is a farce, it's about
comical."


Now the music weekender has been pulled entirely.
